Perth’s Golden Triangle

Perth's Golden Triangle

As most people who live in Perth would know, this is a map of Perth, Western Australia. And whilst there is some dispute on what areas actually make up Perth’s “Golden Triangle”, I believe the attached is a fairly good starting point (although I have sacrificed a lovely part of Dalkeith for the sake of my triangle shape).

The other week I was working on some curtains and blinds for a spectacular mansion in Applecross my mind started wandering. At the risk of offending my Western suburb clients, my thought bubble concluded that the Golden Triangle should no longer exist, and it should be replaced with the “Golden Circle”.

Having my curtain store in Nedlands puts me in the Golden Triangle and the households within are my core clientele for the custom made curtains we make. The Golden Triangle consists of distinguished suburbs like Peppermint Grove, Dalkeith, Claremont, City Beach and Cottesloe, all of which dominate the list of Perth’s most expensive suburbs.

‘Australian Property Investor’ think the Golden Triangle stretches up to Scarborough, whilst purists may agree with the Bell Tower Times and their tongue in cheek article saying the triangle should only be Claremont, Peppermint Grove and Cottesloe.

But having designed, created and installed many curtains and blinds for houses in Applecross , Attadale and South Perth, I really think the triangle should be no more. This is also supported by Applecross being 13th in the most expensive suburbs, (above Claremont I note). So, the below map is more illustrative of prestigious houses with Perth’s suburbs.

Perth's Golden Circle

At the risk of upending decades of tradition, Perth’s ‘Golden Circle’ is now a thing.
